Video: ABC News reports on Schofield soldiers in Afghanistan

Schofield Barracks soldiers serving in Afghanistan spent Thanksgiving on the front lines of the war in Afghanistan.

Troops from the 2/27, the “Wolfhounds,” are on the border with Pakistan.

ABC News Nightline and White House reporter Jake Tapper visited with Schofield Barracks soldiers in a report that aired Thursday.

Tapper reported that the soldiers’ mission is to protect a road on the Ghaziabad Pass, a road that may provide economic security for the people who live in the area.

But the road is dangerous. Eight Schofield soldiers have been killed since the 2/27 deployed to Afghanistan in May.

Get a clue: even if US troops were not in Afghanistan right now, chasing around goat-herding peasants, you'd be doing fine this holiday season. The world would be much better off without the US invading other countries for the sakes of the defense industries and Israel.
