» Kauai Council member Kipu­Kai Kua­li‘i is running for re-election. His surname was misspelled in a list of primary election candidates on Page B4 Wednesday.

» The City Council on Wednesday approved a city operating budget of $1.96 billion, $11 million more than the $1.95 billion budget proposed by Mayor Peter Carlisle in March. Additionally, the Council approved a $620 million capital improvements budget, more than the $577.7 million proposed by Carlisle. A story on Page A1 Thursday incorrectly stated the amount of the mayor's original operating budget as $1.93 billion and the amount of the Council CIP budget as $588.7 million.
