» Middle- and higher-income parents would pay on average $200 to $600 a month to send their children to state-subsidized preschool under a proposal by the Abercrombie administration. A story on A1 Sunday incorrectly described the co-payment.

» State appeals Judge Daniel Foley served as legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union in Hawaii from 1984 to 1987. A Page B1 story Sunday said Foley served as executive director of the ACLU in Hawaii.

» U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., is the new chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, succeeding the late U.S. Sen. Daniel Ino­uye. A Page B1 story on Jan. 1 said Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., is the new chairman.
