>> University of Hawaii-Manoa Chancellor Tom Apple said Tuesday at a Senate informational briefing that UH will save $40,000 by reassigning Jim Dono­van to a new marketing post by not filling two vacant positions in the chancellor’s office. A Page A1 story Wednesday said UH would save money because Dono­van’s new salary is lower than what peer institutions would pay and that the position was going to be filled anyway.
