>> University of Hawaii-Manoa Chancellor Tom Apple said Tuesday at a Senate informational briefing that UH will save $40,000 by reassigning Jim Donovan to a new marketing post by not filling two vacant positions in the chancellor’s office. A Page A1 story Wednesday said UH would save money because Donovan’s new salary is lower than what peer institutions would pay and that the position was going to be filled anyway.
