Chuck Baker and his son, Mike, assembled a bicycle at Dole Cannery on Nov. 3, 2012, as part of the Toys for Tots donation program which distributes toys to children in need during the holidays. The Bakers volunteered with about 40 others to assemble 180 bicycles which was distributed by local non-profit organizations in conjunction with the Salvation Army. CEREMONY FOR A SAINT: Mamo Hawaii Les Correa, front, and Alii Charles Tilton of the Royal Order of Kamehameha I lifted the maile-covered reliquary containing a relic of Saint Marianne Cope as they prepared to carry it onto the grounds of Iolani Palace on Sunday for the Interfaith-Civic Ceremony in honor of her canonization. The ceremony began with a welcome prayer by Bishop Larry Silva of the diocese of Hono­lulu.
