Lifeguards treated 19 people for box jellyfish stings at Waikiki Beach yesterday morning as the monthly influx of the stinging creatures continued.
About 250 jellyfish were found on the beach yesterday morning, according to the ocean safety website. One jellyfish was found at Ala Moana Beach Park, but there were no stings reported.
A box jellyfish advisory was posted yesterday for Waikiki and Ala Moana beaches.
Hawaii Habitat for Humanity is warning that calls soliciting donations for the organization in Hawaii are fraudulent.
The organization says Habitat for Humanity does not solicit donations over the phone and any calls that do are not connected with the group.
The mission of Habitat for Humanity's ministry is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by building affordable housing for those in need.
Habitat for Humanity International and its support organizations and affiliates, ecumenical Christian ministries, have built nearly 250,000 homes. In Hawaii, Habitat affiliates have built more than 200 homes.
