The J.M. Long Foundation donated $40,000 to the School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The gift will support the purchase of five computerized medication dispensing units.

Helping Hands Hawai'i received $11,571 from The Henry & Colene Wong Foundation and $15,000 from the Omidyar 'Ohana Fund to support its wide range of human services and behavioral health programs for low-income children and adults.

The Monsanto Fund has given $38,450 to United Way agencies and other nonprofits statewide. Aloha United Way on Oahu received $15,450; the Maui United Way, $17,850; and Kauai United Way, $200. On Molokai, $1,650 each went to Hui Kakou; Affordable Homes, Community Development; and the Molokai Community Health Center.
