» Matson Navigation Foundation recently gave Damien Memorial School $50,000 for its capital campaign to build a new athletic building, band building, library, student services building, a resurfaced football practice field and track and additional parking spaces.

» Hawaii Pizza Hut and Taco Bell recently donated $10,000 to Lanakila Meals on Wheels as part of World Hunger Relief 2012, the global fundraising initiative of TD Food Group's parent company, YUM! Restaurants International. TD Food Group owns and operates 68 Pizza Hut and Taco Bell stores throughout the Hawaiian Islands. It also owns and operates Long John Silver's and A&W All American Foods Restaurants in Hawaii.

» Aloha Petroleum Ltd. recently donated $4,341 to support the American Red Cross, Hawaii Chapter.

During September and October, Aloha Petroleum set up donation collection canisters at Aloha Island Mart convenience stores on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii island, and at select Shell locations.A total of $4,341.44 was collected during the two-month period.
