Children affected by the Fukushima nuclear disaster enjoy nature in Hawaii

The children from Fukushima prefecture have been enjoying activities like canoe paddling and visits to temples during their stay on Hawaii island.

Higashi Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii flew eight children in from Fukushima, Japan for seven days of sun and fun to give them a chance to play outdoors without the worry of radiation exposure. Most of the week was spent on on Hawaii Island, and going to the beach.
