Festival celebrates versatile breadfruit

~~<p>Like most malihini (newcomers) from the mainland, Craig Elevitch grew up eating bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Breadfruit (ulu) wasn't on his radar until he moved to Hawaii island in 1989.</p>
<p>&quot;I had just completed a master's degree in electrical engineering at Cornell University,&quot; recalled Elevitch, director of the Hawaii Homegrown Food Network. &quot;While I was looking for a job in renewable energy, I worked on coffee farms in Kona.</p>
