'Harry Potter' bad boy spellbound by Big Island

~~HAWAII has captured Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter's enemy. Actually, the Big Isle has cast its spell over English actor Tom Felton, who portrays Malfoy. He recently released the song "Hawaii" online, moaning about the cold weather and traffic in England compared with the laid-back life under the palm trees of Hawaii. He sings: "I woke this morning and much to my dismay the snow's been falling, it's been coming down since yesterday. I go outside to try and start my car — three hours later I haven't gone very far. And I'm holding on to memories of when I was on the island — in Hawaii — and kicking back is where you'd find me, somewhere underneath the palm tree, on the island of Hawaii." The song has received more than 131,000 views on YouTube and can be found by typing Tom Felton Hawaii on the website. MAUI NO KA OI: Maui gets a strong plug in the fall issue of Neiman Marcus' InCircle Entree magazine. Under the headline "Pacific Gem," writer Kate Johnson pens: "Whether you're up at dawn to watch the sunrise or prefer to enjoy the view from an oceanside spa hut, Maui is the ultimate island paradise." Besides Maui's beauty, the four-page story, with pictures, looks at what it calls the island's "vibrant culture, culinary diversity and offshore adventures." Resorts such as the Grand Wailea, Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and Four Seasons Wailea are singled out. There is also a short companion piece about Lanai, its two Four Seasons resorts and golf courses … Gov. Neil Abercrombie and his wife, Nancie Caraway, were at Neiman's Sept. 8 for the launch of Andy South's fashion collection. The guv was wearing an Amos Kotomori shirt.
