How does one of the town’s top attorneys, Michael Green, get involved in trying to land one of the greatest fights of all time — a bout between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather — for Aloha Stadium?
They came to me, two of Pacquiao’s representatives, said Green. He said he may have been contacted because he is former chairman of the Stadium Authority, is connected to Hawaii’s large Filipino community and has long been involved with sports, including representing National Football League players from Hawaii. Pacquiao will be in Hawaii Nov. 18 to 21. The Pacman is a colorful guy. Other than boxing, he is a professional singer and through his widespread popularity has even been mentioned as a potential candidate for the presidency of the Philippines.
