Charity walk collects nearly $1.4 million for nonprofits
The annual visitor industry fundraiser sets another record with events statewide

~~<p>More than 12,000 walkers put their best foot forward and raised $1,371,955 for more than 200 nonprofits statewide in the recent Visitor Industry Charity Walk.</p>
<p>The annual event, which has raised more than $24 million for Hawaii charities since its inception in 1978, set a fundraising rec­ord for the second year in a row.</p>
