Hawaii need not fear military cuts

<p>Unless Congress can rise above partisan differences and pass a budget bill that actually does cut the deficit, the legislation it passed last year mandates something called &quot;sequestration.&quot; Beginning in January 2013, it will entail cuts over a period of 10 years amounting to a trillion dollars from social services and a trillion dollars from military spending.</p>
