Fun musical shines light on friendship, awareness

~~<p>A family-friendly Broadway-style musical, &quot;Honu by the Sea,&quot; will have a limited run beginning Wednesday at Waikiki's premier showroom, the renowned Monarch Room of The Royal Hawaiian hotel.</p>
<p>With music and lyrics by <strong>Johnson Enos</strong>, the show reunites the composer with his high school mentor, director Ronald Bright, and explores denizens from under the sea. The title character, Honu (a turtle), searches for her mother caught in debris in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands and engages a Waikiki beachboy named Kainoa, who learns the value of friendship and awareness to nurture the ocean environment.</p>
