Sacrifices of our volunteer military are awe-inspiring

~~<p>With the Koolau Mountains serving as a beautiful backdrop, men and women in uniform stood at attention on the tarmac of an airfield at Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay.</p>
<p>Among them, as though standing in attention with them, were the mighty helicopters that they are trained to maintain, kept always at the ready and operated in defense of this country. Flags held by color guards were flapping in the breeze.</p>
