HB 280 will give isle coffee growers a lift

~~<p>House BIll 280 passed the state House and Senate with overwhelming support from both legislative bodies, the Hawaiian coffee industry, farmers large and small, roasters and retailers, Hawaii's Farm Bureau, and Hawaii's Department of Agriculture (HDOA).</p>
<p>As such, the individuals and commodity groups that have co-signed this opinion and who represent more than 90 percent of the coffee grown in the state were duly surprised when the bill appeared on the governor's "intent to veto" list released last week.</p>
