Residential recycling, including white bins, evolving

~~<p>Honolulu's curbside recycling program has proven very successful among 160,000 participating households, and many more will be included in the near future.</p>
<p>As new recycling initiatives succeed, old programs are being phased out. More people are using blue curbside recycling carts, so there is less demand for the old white bins used at community drop-off centers. This has been anticipated since the curbside program began.</p>
