The lodging industry brings in $1.6 billion with Oahu and Maui leading the way

<p>Statewide hotel revenue through June rose to nearly $1.6 billion, a 14.8 percent gain over the first six months of 2011, according to data released Tuesday by Smith Travel Research and Hospitality Advisors LLC.</p>
