'You May Not Kiss the Bride' set for its premiere at Ward

~~THE PREMIERE of Hawaii Film Partners' "You May Not Kiss the Bride," a romantic adventure comedy filmed in Hawaii, will take place Aug. 31 at Consolidated Theatres. The film opens nationally Sept. 21. An invitation-only screening with some of the cast members is planned for 7 p.m. Aug. 29 at Consolidated's Ward Theatres.Red-carpet arrivals will begin at 6 p.m., with limos arriving on Auahi Street in front of the theaters.
A private after-party will be held at Vice nightery at Ward Centre. Hawaii Film Partners' Rann and Gina Watumull and David and Shauna Jackson are producers. Writer-director is Rob Hedden. Hawaii's Tia Carrere and Willie K have acting roles. Willie also performs. Other Hawaii entertainers providing music include Ben Vegas & Maila Gibson, Tiffany Thurston, Afatia Thompson, Kapono Beamer and Imua Garza.The pic also includes an original song co-written and performed by the film's leading lady, Katharine McPhee of "Smash," "American Idol" and "House Bunny." Other stars include Academy Award winner Kathy Bates, Rob Schneider, Dave Annable, Mena Suvari, Ken Davitian, Vinnie Jones and Kevin Dunn. …
