School lockdowns caused by man convicted in killing

~~<p>The 49-year-old Waipahu man who prompted the lockdown of three Nanakuli schools Tuesday afternoon was convicted of man&shy;slaughter in 1984 in a stabbing death and is on parole after a terroristic threatening conviction last year.</p>
<p>Hawaii Paroling Authority records show that Gerald L. Fuentes, originally charged with murder, pleaded no contest to manslaughter in the stabbing death of a 25-year-old woman in her North Kona apartment in 1983. He served six years of a 10-year sentence and completed his parole in 1994.</p>
