Mark Bednorz's L.A. restaurant has a genuine Hawaii feel

~~<p>LOS ANGELES &raquo; Mark Bednorz is Hawaiian; his mother's side, from Kauai. But he doesn't market or brand his all-day breakfast restaurant with cheesy references to the islands. And that is a big part of why the place feels Hawaiian and is Hawaiian.</p>
<p>Technically, there's no Hawaiian food. The menu has just a couple of items, including Portuguese sausage and Spam, and names with Hawaii references (there are some off-menu island selections). But the vibe when you enter Jacks N Joe is undeniably true aloha.</p>
