I join the voices of the University of Hawaii coaches in advocating for Rockne Freitas to be UH athletic director. Freitas has served Hawaii's educational community for decades, first at Kamehameha Schools, then at the University of Hawaii system, with distinction. His recent successful effort to gain admission for UH to the Mountain West Conference, done quietly and efficiently, typifies his professionalism and competence.
