Hearing loss easier to bear thanks to new technology

~~<p>As people age, many find that their capacity to hear isn't as keen as it once was.</p>
<p>Barring sudden injury to the ear, hearing loss usually occurs over time. At first the loss may be subtle and barely perceptible: People may find themselves straining to hear a conversation across the room. They may need to turn the sound up on the TV just a little, and then a little more, often to the chagrin of their spouse or children. They may have to ask people to repeat themselves and to please not mumble, because they couldn't quite catch what was said.</p>
