~~
Question: We’ve been University of Hawaii women’s volleyball and men’s basketball season ticket holders for many years and have seen the condition of the women’s bathrooms at Stan Sheriff Center go from bad to atrocious! Eighty percent of the toilets either leak or constantly run. The floors are always very wet and could cause slipping problems for elderly women. I am embarrassed to take my two granddaughters as it has become increasingly difficult to find a decent toilet to use. I realize the money problems of UH, but they must maintain the sanitation and use of the bathroom facilities. If they get any worse, people will stop renewing their season tickets. Can you please refer this to whoever is in charge of plumbing and sanitation at the Stan Sheriff Center?

Answer: You should be seeing cleaner and safer restrooms, although it may be a while before the main problem — an over-the-hill plumbing system — can be addressed. Login for more...
