A 17-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in critical condition following an incident on Kamehameha Highway early Thursday morning in Wai&shy;malu.<br />
<br />
An Emergency Medical Services official said the victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition just before 3 a.m. Her condition was later upgraded to serious.<br />
<br />
Police said the victim was arguing with a man when she fell out of a car at Kamehameha Highway and Hekaha Street.<br />
<br />
A 20-year-old Papa&shy;ko&shy;lea man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving near the Wai&shy;malu <br />
Shopping Center.<br />

People with outstanding warrants nabbed<br />

State sheriffs arrested 39 people and cleared 60 warrants during a sweep by the Special Operations Section Fugitive Unit on Tuesday night.<br />
<br />
The sweep targeted grand jury, probation and parole violators, as well as people with outstanding criminal warrants.<br />
<br />
The warrants included 12 felonies and 48 traffic counts.<br />
<br />
Of the 39 arrested, seven were unable to post bail and were jailed at the Hono&shy;lulu Police Department&rsquo;s Beretania Street station.<br />
<br />
People with outstanding warrants are urged to turn themselves in, state Sheriff Shawn Tsuha said.<br />

Kailua bank robbery suspect is in custody</strong><br />
<br />
Honolulu police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with a bank robbery in Kailua Sept. 7.<br />
The man, who gave no local address, was arrested today at 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Ward Gateway Center near the Ward Avenue Starbucks, police said.<br />
<br />
He is being held pending a count of first-degree robbery and two drug-related offenses.<br />
<br />
Police said a man walked into the Kailua branch of Hawaii National Bank on Aulike Street just before 4:30 p.m., handed a demand note and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.<br />
<br />
Police said the man may also be a suspect in other crimes.<strong><br />
