Shinto shrine's Thanksgiving Festival offers both blessings and family fun

~~<p>Izumo Taishakyo Mission of Hawaii is holding its 106th annual Thanksgiving Festival (Oma&shy;tsuri) at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 7 for blessings on families, businesses and the nation at 215 N. Kukui St., across from the Chinese Cultural Plaza. The public is welcome.</p>
<p>Three generations of the Uichi Yamane and Kazuo Yamane families who have contributed to the Shinto shrine's development and preservation for more than a century will be honored, according to its fall newsletter.</p>
