A formerly overloaded dad with daughters away at college rediscovers simple joys shared with his wife

~~<p>The first thing I do each day when I wake up is to reach for my cellphone and text &quot;Good morning&quot; to my two daughters, who are both away at college. Sometimes they text me back.</p>
<p>In this first fall living in an empty nest, the text has become my ritual, my connection and, yes, my acknowledgment that life is different. The Little Darlings are grown now.</p>
