UH to receive wide-ranging $9.2M gift

The deferred funding will support culinary and science programs

~~<p>An anonymous donor has committed to a $9.2 million gift to the University of Hawaii to fund scholarships and support programs and projects in the sciences and culinary arts, the UH Foundation announced Wednesday.</p>
<p>&quot;It's almost a dream come true, to see these areas where we have national and international expertise, now finally have support for the people in those units to expand and become really the best of the best,&quot; said Donna Vuchinich, president and CEO of the foundation.</p>
