Wednesday was the first day that the City and County of Honolulu, along with neighbor island counties, took over issuing state ID cards from the state Attorney General’s Office, which had dispensed them from the state ID office at 465 S. King St. for years. That office was shuttered on Dec. 21, leaving those seeking a state ID nowhere to go for more than a week. Login for more...
