'Light rain' causes few flooding issues

Workers clear Niu Valley Stream due to high water, but other streams flow freely

~~<p>A band of clouds stretching from the Hawaiian Islands to the West Coast continued to drop a steady rain over Maui and Oahu on Thursday, prompting city workers to clear the mouth of a stream for the second day in a row.</p>
<p>The National Weather Service said the winter rainfall might continue today, particularly in windward and mauka areas, but was not expected to cause serious flooding.</p>
