~~
After a positioning year in 2012 that saw little in the way of new properties, 2013 figures to be busier in Las Vegas. The first major project debuts in early February with the opening of the Nobu hotel, a 180-room hotel-within-a-hotel at Caesars Palace. The former Lady Luck is scheduled to reopen as the Downtown Grand in March, and two new water parks are shooting to debut on Memorial Day. Other big projects include the opening of the LINQ retail and entertainment district toward the end of the year and the related overhaul and renaming of Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon at center Strip. Two wild cards are the Palms and Hooters. The Palms will bring on a new roster of bars and restaurants in 2013, while Hooters is rumored to be planning improvements that might be linked to a change in ownership.
