Pair of church events will pay homage to King

~~<p>Church of the Crossroads and St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church are inviting the public to free events Jan. 21 to honor civil rights champion the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.</p>
<p>Church of the Crossroads will recognize Kyle Kajihiro as the recipient of its 2012 Martin Luther King Award at 7 p.m. at the church, at 1212 University Ave., followed by a reception in Weaver Hall. Kajihiro served as program director for the American Friends Service Committee from 1996 to 2011 and has been an activist in Honolulu and Oregon in Hawaiian sovereignty, demilitarization and lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender issues, a church news release said.</p>
