Pair of church events will pay homage to King

~~<p>Church of the Crossroads and St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church are inviting the public to free events Jan. 21 to honor civil rights champion the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.</p>
<p>Church of the Crossroads will recognize Kyle Kaji&shy;hiro as the recipient of its 2012 Martin Luther King Award at 7 p.m. at the church, at 1212 University Ave., followed by a reception in Weaver Hall. Kaji&shy;hiro served as program director for the American Friends Service Committee from 1996 to 2011 and has been an activist in Hono&shy;lulu and Oregon in Hawaiian sovereignty, demilitarization and lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender issues, a church news release said.</p>
