Isle events mark the arrival of first Koreans 110 years ago

~~<p>Today, Korean-Americans are celebrating the 110th anniversary of Korean immigration to the U.S. On Jan. 13, 1903, the first Koreans arrived in Hono&shy;lulu aboard the USS Gaelic to work on the plantation fields in Hawaii. In commemoration of the anniversary, following a ceremony that was held at Pawaa In-Ha Park on Saturday, there will be a gala dinner tonight at Hawaii Prince Hotel.</p>
<p>&quot;Arirang,&quot; a special documentary of the history of Korean immigration, airs in two parts today on KBFD at 1:15 and 9:25 p.m.</p>
