~~<p>A 2012 Ward Research study commissioned by the Hawaiian Humane Society estimates that there are approximately 300,000 free roaming and feral cats on Oahu.</p>
<p>Such numbers are alarming and have led to concerns about potential human health risks from toxoplasmosis and the impact on wildlife.</p>
