The University of Hawaii women's track and field team set two school records and recorded 12 personal bests in its first Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championship meet on Friday in Seattle.
Junior Amanda Alvarez broke UH pentathlon event records in the 60-meter hurdles (8.82 seconds) and the long jump (18 feet, 5 1/4 inches), however she did not complete the pentathlon due to a conflict with other events. Senior Samantha Balentine placed fifth for the Rainbow Wahine with 3,809 points and tied for the meet's best high jump mark at 5-8 3/4. Login for more...
