Juan Reliquio Afroilan, 74, of Honolulu, a retired custodian, died in Honolulu. He was born in Pangasinan, Philippines. He is survived by wife Elena; son Erwin; daughters Marites Afroilan, Ederlina Atendido and Evelyn Tadena; brothers Rolando and Lito; sisters Milogros Mati and Praxie Afroilan; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Valley of the Temples.Services: 11 a.m. Burial: noon at the cemetery.</p>

Oct. 28, 2013</em> <br />
Kiyoko Uyesato Akiyama, 100, of Hanapepe Heights, Kauai, a businesswoman, died at home. She was born in Kohala, Hawaii. She is survived by son James; daughters June Shishido, Patsy Kuwata, Amy Sagawa and Carol Akiyama; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Hanapepe United Church of Christ. Services: 11 a.m. No monetary offerings.</p>
