Maximino Abut, 94, of Lahaina, a Pioneer Mill heavy equipment operator and dishwasher at Lahaina Broiler and Gerrard's, died in Lahaina. He was born in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by sons Theodore, Anthony and Randall Milanio, and Francisco Abut; daughters Sally May and Rose Marie; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Monday at Maria Lanakila Church, Lahaina. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Akira Akimoto, 94, of Honolulu, a retired supply clerk at Hickam Air Force Base and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 100th Battalion, died in St. Francis Hospice-West. He was born in Hono-lulu. He is survived by wife Patsy T., son Brian T. and three grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.</p>
