High surf to be followed by windy, rainy weather

~~<p>A high-surf warning for the north- and west-facing shores of Kauai, Niihau, Oahu and Molokai, and the north-facing shores of Maui, is in effect thorugh this afternoon.</p>
<p>The warning was prompted by a large northwest swell that is expected to produce hazardous surf conditions -- including surf of up to 30 feet -- overnight, according to the National Weather Service.</p>
