Man faces attempted-murder charges for firing at officers

~~<p>A convicted felon wanted for violating his parole is facing charges that he tried to kill three police officers who were attempting to arrest him Jan. 23 after he flipped his car over while trying to flee from them.</p>
<p>An Oahu grand jury returned an indictment Wednesday charging Nicolas P. Nakano, 32, with four counts of first-degree attempted murder, using a firearm to commit the crimes, two firearm possession charges and drug possession. Circuit Judge Richard Perkins set bail at $1 million.</p>
