<p>Carissa Moore was one of five Hawaii surfers to advance out of their heats at the Hurley Australian Open on Thursday in Sydney. Moore, the reigning ASP world champion, posted the highest single-wave score of the event with a 9.60 out of a possible 10 in the fourth round. Hawaii's Leila Hurst, Alessa Quizon, Nage Melamed and Malia Manuel also moved on.</p>
