Bill lightens sentencing for minors

~~<p>House lawmakers are pushing for a bill that would revise the state's sentencing standards for offenders who were committed to serve sentences when they were minors.</p>
<p>Among the measure's many provisions is a proposal to abolish sentences of life in prison without the possibility of parole for minors, which advocates say has been deemed unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.</p>
