Government settles air crash case for $750,000

~~<p>The federal government has agreed to pay $750,000 to settle two lawsuits filed by the family of an Oahu veterinarian who crashed his private aircraft into the side of the Koo&shy;lau Mountains about four years ago.</p>
<p>Nicholas Palumbo, 81, and his 20-year-old son, Timothy, died Jan. 10, 2010, when their single-engine Piper Cherokee airplane crashed into the Mau&shy;umae ridge above Mau&shy;na&shy;lani Heights.</p>
