Ira V. &quot;Ike&quot; Bailey, 98, of Kaneohe, a retired city sidewalk and paving inspector and a retired Navy lieutenant commander, died in Kaneohe. He was born in Elmwood, Wis. He is survived by hanai son Loren Pelkey, hanai daughter Susan Kennedy, brother Harold Ray Englund and four hanai grandchildren. Private scattering of ashes.</p>

Masako Yamaoka Ballesteros, 94, of Hilo, a Kamehameha Garment seamstress and a Zippy's McCully counter person, died in Honolulu. She was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Jimmy M. and Keith K.; daughters Juliet C. Rivera and Joanne K. Kobayashi; brother Dr. Ronald M. Yamaoka; sisters Sumiko Kim, Kiyomi Okura and Fumie Kaneshiro; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Private services. Incorrect information in an obituary published Tuesday.</p>
