Kapolei gets past Baldwin

~~<p>Kapolei scored six straight goals in the second half to beat Baldwin 8-2 in Wednesday's opening round of the Stanford Carr/HHSAA girls water polo state championships at Kamehameha-Hawaii's Naeole Aquatics Facility.</p>
<p>Tied 2-2 at halftime, Tiala Wendt, Brooke Bosque, Ilani Ibarra, and Mailani Wendt each scored a goal in the third quarter to help the Hurricanes pull away. Mailani Wendt had three goals for Kapolei, which plays top-seeded and six-time defending champion Punahou in Thursday's quarters.</p>
