State-funded pre-kindergarten just the start

~~<p>Starting this August, Hawaii will finally come out of the shadows and join 41 other states that publicly fund pre-kindergarten education.</p>
<p>With the inclusion of $3 million in the state budget to enhance our school readiness efforts, we will be able to enroll more than 400 children in pre-kindergarten at targeted public elementary schools across the state.</p>
