Manu O Ke Kai vets striving for gold

~~<p>Veteran paddler and coach Derek Leeloy has spent the past 41 years in and around canoes. It's a figure he &quot;can't believe&quot; because the experience has been &quot;just play&quot; rather than a workout.</p>
<p>After moving to Haleiwa from Kaneohe a few years ago, Leeloy joined Manu O Ke Kai, one of the area's consistently top-performing canoe clubs. The 55-year-old was immediately welcomed to the club's men's 50-and-older crew, which has made winning commonplace at weekly regattas.</p>
