A former Schofield soldier who killed his daughter gets life in prison instead of a death sentence

~~<p>The jury ended deliberations deadlocked and rejected a sentence of death for Naeem Williams in the torture and beating death of his 5-year-old daughter, but the child's mother said she still feels closure after waiting nine years for justice.</p>
<p>&quot;It's going to be a long, hard journey of healing, and I'll never forget what happened to her and she will always live in my heart, no matter what,&quot; Tarshia Williams said following the reading of the jury's verdict Friday.</p>
