We encourage our readers to send us letters, stories, photos and more to showcase the life and diversity of Hawai'i. Here you'll find a collection of all the reader submittable specifics found throughout the print and online editions of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Letters should be crisp and to the point (~175 words or less). We reserve the right to edit letters for clarity and length. Please direct comments to the issues; personal attacks will not be published. Letters must include your full name, city and state, and a daytime phone number.
Entries are limited to 750 words and must be an original work, never before published. The winning entry will receive a $200 cash prize and be published in the Today section on Oct. 31. The second-place story will be awarded $100.
The contest is open to Hawaii residents only; Oahu Publications contributors, employees and their families are not eligible.
